SO YOU WANNA BE A ROCK AND ROLL STAR? “I think we’re ready”.


It took many months of practice, refining the song list, lugging equipment to house shows and birthday gigs, but I think we’re ready to take that next step to the clubs, the festivals and the shows where the sound and lights are provided and folks actually pay to see us. And after that, who knows? Because we are ready… I think. Sound familiar? How many bands and performers have gone through the same cycle, only to hit that hard, high wall that separates the garage bands from the club acts and recording artists who play more than once or twice a year for their buddies in the basement.


I have been very fortunate to have played


the area’s best clubs and halls, headlining and opening for legends like Chuck Berry and James Brown. But starting from scratch with a new band is always a challenge. But I think we’re ready.

We are “Johnny and the Back to Backs”, a collection of hand-picked musicians who bring the essential skills to the plate that should pro- duce a fun, successful band. We have created a set list that is eclectic and exciting to play. We’re comfortable on stage, professional and ready to set the local club scene on fire. Awesome! “Oh, do you guys have a website where I can hear some audio and see some video?”


Uhhhhh….. Tapping into social media for promotion is not just a novelty any more. It is an essential tool that creates followers, presents your music to promoters, advertises your shows and gives new artists instant credibility.
