WHAT ARE TEEN GIRLS IN FRANCE WEARING? WHAT IS THE MOST POPULAR HAIRCUT?

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS?

I like going for walks or going to the cinema with my friends. I also like having lunch in the park with them when it’s sunny enough.

WHAT DO YOU DO ON THE WEEKENDS? I like going to the cinema and the museum.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK, BAND (OR SINGER) AND MOVIE?

My favorite book is Germinal by Emile Zola. I don’t have a favorite band, but if I had to choose one it would certainly be Oasis or maybe The Who. My favorite movies are Inception and the Back to the Future trilogy.

WHAT IS THE COOLEST THING ABOUT LIVING IN FRANCE?

The French culture is really rich; there’s always something to discover.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE FOOD? CAN YOU DESCRIBE IT?

Like most people I like pizza, sushi, and ham- burgers a lot, but my favorite food is buckwheat pancakes. It’s a French meal from Brittany (a French region). They are kind of salty pancakes that are bigger and thinner than American pan- cakes. They’re served with a filling, usually ham, cheese, and an egg.

Most girls usually wear skinny jeans with sneak- ers or boots. The weather is starting to feel cold so there’s a lot of people wearing wool coats or parkas, usually black or navy. There’s not really a most popular haircut at the moment, but most girls have long loose hair.

HOW DID YOU FEEL DURING THE RECENT TERRORIST ATTACKS? WHERE WERE YOU? WHAT WAS YOUR REACTION?

The terrorist attacks were shocking. I live near one of the “cafés” where a shooting took place. When I heard about the shooting, I was worried, and I hoped none of my relatives were there. Luckily, they were all safe, but it was still really sad because everyone knows someone who knew one of the victims in the neighborhood. It’s not something I’ll forget.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN YOUR FAMILY? WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES AND AGES?

We are four. My mother’s name is Cécile, and my father’s name is Hervé. They’re both 49 years old. I have a brother; he’s 10 years old, and his name is Malo.

WHAT DO YOU WISH AMERICAN GIRLS KNEW ABOUT FRENCH GIRLS?

French girls are not rude and snobby; it’s just a cliché. France is a really fashionable country, but most people don’t dress like they are in fashion magazines everyday.

IF YOU CAME TO VISIT AMERICA, WHAT WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE?

If I went to the USA, I would like to visit the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH OUR READERS?

France is a beautiful country. If you come to vis- it, don’t limit yourself to Paris; spend some time in the countryside. Smaller cities are nice, and there are some beautiful landscapes to see.
