SWAG continued from page 19
BUFFY SAINTE- MARIE
Beatle boots and jackets, music memorabilia, and all related accessories. He’s worked with festivals, concert promoters and artists and designed, manufactured, distributed and sold t-shirts and other event-related “swag”. His pre-entrepreneur years working with the civil service would make his mom proud, and, as a good job, it has provided him with comfortable security into his senior years. It was one of his uncles along the way, who mentioned how much Bob had become a favorite with Ottawa media for promoting his passion. Bob became “Uncle Bob” and a character who would find almost anything a music fan can want or need. It’s his life as a rock star as close as he can get.
GORDON LIGHTFOOT
MIKE TYSON Nowadays Bob has caught up to the future/past and
windows his life on Facebook, he is in his mid-60s and over the years he’s met celebs from Mike Tyson to David Crosby and a couple of prime ministers, to flatter his rock and roll power. Check out his store, meet Uncle Bob, and enjoy his
trip at a place in time and mind called “Fabgear 64” in Hintonburg at 1112 Wellington Street West.
