WELCOME MORE AN-124’S, MORE GLOBAL EFFICIENCY

Welcome to the latest edition of our Cargo Supermarket e-magazine.

In recent years, Volga-Dnepr Group’s aircraft fleet has been consistently expanded and modernised. We have taken delivery of five new generation IL-76TD- 90VD freighters for our charter operations, while AirBridgeCargo’s fleet for scheduled services now stands at 15 modern Boeing 747 freighters, including six of the latest generation B747-8F. ABC and Atran Airlines has also added Boeing 737-400F’s to their fleets.

In this issue we report on the latest investment in our fleet, the addition of two more Antonov 124-100. The An-124 has been the foundation of our growth and development over the past 25 years and it will continue to play an important role in our future. With these extra An-124s, we have increased our total fleet size to 12 of this aircraft type. This represents a significant step in terms of our ability to position our fleet to ensure we can serve customers across the world as efficiently as possible.

As I am sure you all know by now, we are currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of Volga-Dnepr Group. In recent weeks it has been our great pleasure to host customers, partners and employees at events around the world to say ‘thank you’ for the outstanding support we have

received over these years, and continue to receive. In this Cargo Supermarket, you will see a special photo-gallery of our customer events in London, Moscow, Houston and Beijing, as well as pictures from our employee family day at London Stansted.

2015 continues to be an exciting year for our Group of companies. AirBridgeCargo continues to out-perform its competitors in terms of growth, with its tonnage in September increasing 28% year-on-year. ABC is also continuing to expand its global network to give customers an even bigger choice of destinations and frequencies. Singapore is the latest addition to its fast- growing route network, and ABC’s ninth online station in the Asia-Pacific region. I am sure more will follow.

Volga-Dnepr Airlines’ fleet is just as busy, serving customers in major sectors such as aerospace and oil and gas and continuing to provide solutions for the type of unique, one-off cargoes we have become famous for carrying since 1990. Most recently, the prize for the most unusual cargo must go to the 7.5m Cypress trees we were asked to transport to Uzbekistan as it makes its preparations to host the Shanghai Cooperation Summit in 2016.

The nature of our business also means we can offer our customers one-way flight opportunities on occasions and to ensure you are kept well-informed about our aircraft availability. I encourage you

to register to receive our regular updates. One of our longstanding customers Chartersphere highlights the benefits in a Q & A in this issue. We are also delighted that Jerome Le Grand of SDV Logistics has taken the time to tell us more about SDV’s working relationship with Volga-Dnepr Group.

And, in his latest editorial, Vladimir Vyshemirsky, Head of Volga-Dnepr Group’s Engineering & Logistics Centre, explains how we have used our knowledge of unique, outsize and heavyweight cargoes to design and patent a range of special loading equipment for the An-124 that has increased the transportation solutions we are able to offer to customers all over the world.

Finally, a special ‘thank you’ to those customers for taking the time to vote for Volga-Dnepr Group, Volga-Dnepr Airlines and AirBridgeCargo Airlines in industry awards, most recently in Europe and Asia. We are extremely proud to have been recognised for our expertise, reliability and customer service. These honours only increase our commitment to continually deliver the best services and solutions for you all.
