Apart from setting up business rounds and meetings between exhibitors and buyers from over 20 different countries to promote exports, Piscina & Wellness Barcelona will also host congresses, conferences and seminars, notably the second edition of the Wellness & Spa Experiences Event, featuring case studies, market research surveys and the latest trends and ideas in the management, design and sale of products and experiences in the wellbeing industry. Piscina & Wellness Barcelona will also include a new products area, featuring all the top products presented by exhibitors, plus a dynamic demo zone for recreating aquatic and wellness facilities, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. A brand new complementary area is the Innovation Zone, where technology centres, universities, start-ups and sector associations will explain their prototypes and projects to investors and companies working in the aquatic sector. The event also plays host to the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona Awards, which recognise the most innovative and sustainable products in the sector of swimming pools, wellness centres and aquatic facilities.
EARLIER DATES BUT SAME NEC VENUE FOR UK POOL & SPA EXPO The UK Pool & Spa Expo is back and has a completely new schedule. The event will be hosting it’s 4th edition from Sunday 22 to Tuesday 24 November in the Pavilion Hall at the NEC, Birmingham.
The reason for the change is that over the last few years, both exhibitors and visitors have been struggling with a tight UK event calendar as the start of the year so the organisers have taken industry views on board and acted on that feedback.
Going forward, the exhibition will alternate dates to run in line and avoid clashes with major European events. That means this
year’s event will take place in November to avoid Barcelona and switch to October next year to avoid Lyon. The organising team have been encouraged by feedback that this is a good solution and it also removes the risk of snow affecting attendees travelling to the event as can happen with a January or February scheduled UK event. New Events have advised that they will deliver the 4th edition in time to service the following 2016 season and the event team will again be focusing on bringing a high calibre of visitors to the event, a factor they are keen to hold on to and build upon. “It is important to us that everyone at our event receives and creates value, we are focused on bringing the industry decision makers together, that means appealing to the global CEOs, directors and purchasing managers who are ready to buy or looking for new business,” said Lauren King, Marketing Manager for UK Pool & Spa Expo. Continuing their residency at The NEC, Birmingham has been a very conscious decision from the organising team, with the new Resort World opening this year the appeal to visitors and the networking opportunities that are so important at these events, will expand exponentially. Add to this an international airport, train station and motorway network and the decision to return was a clear one.
