Visitor Experience Manager Location: Durham Salary: Dependent on experience

Adventure Valley is the North East’s biggest Family Adventure Park with over 40 attractions, activities and shows. Opened in 2011 it has expanded rapidly and has further ambitious development plans. It is open throughout the year and currently welcomes 150,000 visitors pa.

The role of Visitor Experience Manager requires you to be able to manage a large team, ensuring that they are delivering exceptional customer service at all times. You will be responsible for managing the customer journey and helping to develop and make necessary improvements to the operation of the park.

You will be able to think on your feet and have experience in complaint handling and problem solving. Staff training and development will fall under your area of responsibility along with meeting all health and safety requirements across all departments.

You will hold regular meetings with the directors, assistant manager and all staff to ensure good communication across the business and maintain good working relationships with staff and suppliers.

Existing events will be managed and new ones will be developed including shows for our theatre, theme days and Halloween & Christmas. There will also be the opportunity to improve our current party packages and school visits programme.

The website and social media is to be kept up to date and queries responded to.

The successful candidate will also oversee the retail, catering, administration and marketing departments concentrating on the visitor experience and looking at ways to improve spend per head. For further details please email
