Lesh won nearly $1,500. Right after the top riders came the very excited Beginner Ranch Hand winners who were Shawn Burr and Mark Ensminger when they won $2,162. Just one step up from that was the Rookie #11 class, which was next with 385 teams. The girls dominated once again and a mother daughter team of McKenzie Ammerman and Colette Brooks winning $4,800. With just two classes left for the night the biggest classes of the show was the #6 Class. Dustin Lueck and Mickey Theede won it and a huge check for just over $7,000. The last class of the Wednesday night Finals was the Youth Class. Congratulations goes to Katie Clark and Jessica Oxsheer for their success and for winning close to $1,000. Thursday was the Graduated Rookie, All Levels, Masters

and the 3 Man 2 Gate Sort. It proved to be a big day, with 861 first go teams competing. The 3 Man 2 Gate Sort was a first for the finals and was a big hit with 176 teams. The winners of that class were Melody Hicks, Ryan Smith and Shelley Fitzgerald who took home a check for just over $2,800. Following that, all cattle were once again shipped out and more fresh cattle were received for the final two days. Friday started with the Graduated Beginner RH with

320 teams and #13 HC with 213 teams. Following that the stage was set for the Futurity and Maturity classes where

over $64,000 and two 4-Star Trailers were given away. This is becoming one of the highlights of the RSNC Finals with lots of recognition and prestige going out to both upper and lower rated riders in the Pro and Non-Pro divisions. See Futurity results for these huge winners winning the biggest checks for the finals. Saturday was the final day and it started with the #11

Ranch Hand with 289 competitive teams running for a first place check of nearly $3,700. Congratulations go to the west Texas team of Rusty Day and Devon Lyles. Next was another huge favorite of the finals, the State Extravaganza. Once again, Oklahoma took the 1st place honors but only after being tested hard by the 2nd place Minnesota and 3rd place Missouri teams. Congratulations to those teams for representing their home states with pride and some great Ranch Sorting! The last two classes before the Saturday night finals were the Bareback Sort, and the Lucky Duck. It all came to a head on Saturday night with hundreds

of thousands of dollars and many excellent prizes on the line. Those who made it to the Top 10 were both excited and also very nervous. The All Levels was first and cool, calm professionals, Jared and Sarah Lesh won it for a check of almost $3,000. Next was the Graduated Rookie and the

big winners were the young Callie Brookshire with Charlie Wilcut beating 318 teams and winning almost $4,000 and championship buckles. Then came the #13 Handicap with Rusty Day and Logan Wolfe beating 213 teams and winning over $3,500. That class was followed by the Graduated Beginner class with a huge turn out of 320 teams competing for the first place check of almost $4,000. That’s a big check for a new rider and congratulations goes to Alan Oliver who teamed up with Jordan Lesh for the win. The Masters stepped up to the plate with 218 teams and the big winners were Steven Nichols and Dickey Teague who won $3,654 for their superior sorting efforts. Last, but not least, was the Lucky Duck class for everyone who did special deeds or may have been just out of the money. 50 teams rode and Daryl Hammerstrom and Jessie Dillin were the Lucky Ducks. Daryl won a Ranch Sorter cutting machine and Jessie won a $1,000. That’s pretty lucky and a great way for them to end the week. It was a great event with lots of big winners and some

very energized Ranch Sorters who are already anticipating another great year of sorting in hopes to make it to next year’s RSNC WORLD FINALS.
