I begged for His vision to guide me to help others in my same situation - people who were hurting, scared and battling domestic violence. The first song I wrote, “T

he St orm is Pas sing Ovr” just came to me effortless and several other songs written e

by me. This is the blessing that God gifted to me. I have been blessed to use my voice to bless others and sing praises about everything that I have been through.

PHF: What can the world expect from your music? HI: They can expect inspiration when times are difficult, and it seems like there's no way out. Music that relates to storms in their lives, to confirm, uplift and praise God. Knowing someone else made it through and so can they. God is able to do what He said He will do.

PHF: What is the best advice you've ever been given? HI: To lean and depend on God. To make the best decision for my children. To be supportive to others that have been through or going through domestic violence. I am a genuine person. When I see someone going through something and I feel that I can help, I will.

PHF: What is your feeling about domestic violence? HI:

I HATE it with a passion. I HATE it as much as I hate the devil.

PHF: If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be? HI: Domestic Violence - waking up day and night battered everyday in front of my children. Frightened to death for my children and my life. Trying to figure out what I did wrong with no answer to that question. Afraid to speak in the presence of the abuser.

PHF: How and what made you transition from a domestic abuse victim to a survivor? HI: My four daughters. I did not want them to grow up thinking it was okay for a man to abuse a woman. I wanted to live for their sake as well as my own. I fought with everything in me and that was the last time a man hit me.
