PHF: What is the inspiration behind your music? HI: The inspiration behind my music comes from experiences during times in my life which include battling domestic violence in a marriage, the recovery process after leaving the marriage, enduring an illness that lead to my body shutting down and forc- ing me into a coma for three weeks. ( Thank God, I didn't have any physical or mental disabilities as a result of the coma). However, the most critical moment came when I had to deal with low self-esteem from hurt and pain inflicted from my female siblings and others who always called me ugly, dumb and various negative statements the ma- jority of my life. Even when I was younger, I didn't have a desire to be a singer. I've sung in church, at wedding and funerals. By Gods grace and mercy, it brought me through several life changing miracles which I only had God to depend on. I told God that I wanted to help others.
