Fundraiser on the Fairway First Annual Fall Golf Tournament for the ATA-PAC By ATR Staff On September 22, the Arkansas
Trucking Association’s 40 Under 40 Council hosted the first annual Arkansas Trucking Association Political Action Committee (ATA-PAC) golf tour- nament, sponsored by Rich Logistics and Walmart Transportation. The event was held at RidgePointe Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark. Fifty-six indus- try leaders competed on the green to support the ATA-PAC. The ATA-PAC educates policymak-
ers, promotes advocacy efforts and financially supports public officials and candidates who support our organiza- tion’s agenda. Association PACs are funded by voluntary contributions, completely apart from the organiza- tion’s general treasury. The ATA-PAC provides strength in numbers and ben- efits from being recognized by elected leaders.
