5TH ANNUAL CENTER STAGE GALA Comedian Kate Clinton will serve as emcee and


host, for The LGBT Community Center of the Desert’s 5th Annual Center Stage Gala taking place at The Riviera Palm Springs, on Friday, November 7. Enter- tainment is to be provided by the internationally ac- claimed and openly gay, singing string quartet, Well- Strung. Receiving the Legacy and Vanguard Awards at this year’s ceremony are Mariah Hanson and Re- tired Judge Vaughn R. Walker. Hanson, founder and producer of The Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend, is being honored in recognition of her exceptional work on behalf of creating a lasting impact on LGBT people living in the Coachella Valley. “Judge Vaughn R. Walker is being honored for his courageous leader- ship on behalf of LGBT people”, said Mike Thompson, Executive Director of The Center. Center Stage will open with a reception and silent auction, followed by a sit-down dinner and entertainment. “It’s definitely going to be one of the highlights of the Coachella Valley social season and a fun kickoff to Palm Springs Pride,” said Thompson. PALM SPRINGS LEATHER PRIDE 2014 2014 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Palm
