The St. Johns County School District serves nearly 32,000


students. It includes 18 elementary schools, one K-8 school, seven middle schools, seven high schools, five charter schools and one alternative center. Furthermore, the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind in St. Augustine offers an educational program for deaf and blind children from pre-school through 12th grade, as well as a postsecondary program. Tuition is free to eligible Florida residents.


The St. Johns County School Board meets on the second


Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. at the School Board Administration Center. Workshops are also held at 8:30 a.m. on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month.
