OPTIVITE APPOINTS A NEW INTERNATIONAL MARKETING MANAGER As part of Optivite’s ambitious growth plans, Jason Nightingale has been appointed as their new International Marketing Manager. Jason will be responsible for developing the brand’s global marketing strategy and driving growth across the company’s product portfolio. This will involve reinforcing Optivite’s position as one of the leading providers of performance focused nutritional feed additives. A key part of Jason’s role will be to develop


a stronger relationship with Optivite’s global network of distributors in order to better support their sales activity and develop long term customer relationships. Jason graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2004 gaining


a degree in business and marketing. Since then he has worked across a number of industry sectors, ranging from retail to healthcare developing marketing strategies and supporting successful expansion programmes.


MARGARET CROSTON Margaret Croston, co-founder and Company Secretary of Croston Engineering, bulk storage and handling engineers for the animal feed industry, has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the New Year’s Honours in recognition of her services to the community of Christleton and Chester.


NEW CEO FOR FORFARMERS ForFarmers, the Dutch co-operative feed manufacturing business which includes BOCM PAULS, has appointed Yoram Knoop (44) as its new chief executive. Knoop succeeded the current CEO Bert-Jan Ruumpol on January 1. Yoram Knoop, who completed his studies


in Business Administration at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, has international management experience working for various companies. In recent years he worked at Cargill, where he was general manager premixes and nutrition for Europe, Middle East and Africa.


HARBRO GROUP APPOINTS RUSSELL JONES AS GROUP EXPORT MANAGER The Harbro Group and its subsidiary Strathclyde Nutrition has been further strengthened with the appointment of Russell Jones as Harbro Group export manager. Mr Jones’ main role is to develop and


support the growing export business which has been established by Strathclyde Nutrition, the group’s custom manufacturing and supply division. Mr Jones brings over 20 years of experience


in the pharmaceutical, ruminant and intensive livestock sectors. Since gaining a BA Hons in Business Management from the University of Plymouth, he has held significant positions for global pharmaceutical companies and has successfully introduced new business solutions into developed sectors.
