RUBBAFLEX SAFETY SURFACES SET HIGH STANDARDS

Safety flooring experts Flexflooring pride themselves on installing smooth, seamless and very safe surfaces. The Rubbaflex safety surface it markets is made from EPDM rubber granules offering a number of blends incorporating different sized granules (from 0.5mm – 4mm). For pools, spas, splash pads and spray parks the company recommends 0.5 – 1.5mm fine grade blend for a more compressed surface finish and 1.5 – 4.0 mm standard grade blend for a less compressed, more porous surface finish. As flooring it is noise absorbing and warm underfoot.

Rubbaflex is compliant with BS7188 and BS7976 quality standards for impact absorption and slip resistance, is ready for use in 48 hours and is available in 17 different base colours and other colour combinations.

It also allows for the design of logos, motifs,

this year. Stonex is a ‘resin bound stone’ system which includes quartz, marble and natural stone aggregates encapsulated with specialised light stable resins in a smooth and compressed surface that can be used externally around pools. Flexiseal is a flexible epoxy resin, which has been developed to fill porous rubber crumb surfaces, such as Rubbaflex rubber surface and prevent water permeating through the surface. It helps to make the rubber surface act more like a tile in terms of porosity, but keep the rubber crumbs’ properties of being flexible, non-slip and soft under foot.

It was developed from an established range of swimming pool coatings, is chlorine resistant and UV stable.

Flexflooring has updated its popular mixes colour swatch for Rubbaflex. It now includes the ten most popular mixes that the company has installed over the last few years. It is a great way to see how different looks can be achieved.

“There was a time when the slipperiness of a swimming pool surround was a matter of debate. Now, as more commercial pools have been finding out, it has become a scientific fact”

figures and safety lettering.

Flexflooring‘s UltraTUFF non-slip paint is a water based non-skid polyurethane safety coating which incorporates recycled rubber crumb aggregate. It makes an ideal non-slip surface for swimming pools, splash pads and changing room walkways. It is environmentally friendly, seamless and easily repairable and installed by spray gun by Flexflooring’s experts.
