Asda and FIA in new campaign


UK supermarket chain Asda and the Fitness Industry Association (FIA) have joined forces in a new partnership to bring sport and physical activity into the heart of hard- to-reach communities. Under the banner ‘Asda

A 60-station gym with cv, strength and resis- tance equipment has opened at Houghton Regis Leisure Centre, Bedfordshire, follow- ing a £100,000 overhaul. Technogym supplied equipment as part


of the Central Bedfordshire Council-led overhaul, along with Life Fitness. A free weights area and racket sports are also on offer at the new-look facility. Stevenage Leisure (SLL) has taken over

Charnwood’s £2m revamp programme to commence


Charnwood Borough Council has approved plans to undertake a £2m programme of renovation work at local venues this sum- mer in partnership with Fusion Lifestyle. From mid-June, Loughborough Leisure

Voting is now closed in the second annual Members Choice Health Club Awards, which has seen 37,000 mem- bers complete questionnaires rating their fitness facility. This year’s awards –
