he primary mission of Blackheart International Training is to provide top-level tactical training to select U.S. military units, security and law enforcement personnel. BHI Training courses comprise both classroom instruction and hands-on training covering Non-Standard (former Soviet Bloc) and NATO weapons familiarization, sniper shooting, armorer, hostage rescue, and surveillance detection and avoidance, to name a few of the course offerings. BHI Training also provides tactical law enforcement training such as defensive pistol, defensive rifle, sniper, SWAT, and qualification training for law enforcement personnel. In addition, the company has developed several civilian security training programs. Some examples include private executive security training for personnel tasked with providing security to high-risk, high-value targets (corporate executives, politicians, diplomats, etc.), carry-concealed weapon certification, and family security/defense programs.
All Blackheart International Training programs are conducted by former U.S. Army Special Forces personnel who have ex- tensive backgrounds in military special operations, combat, training and law enforcement, and are current subject matter experts in their fields. As a result of their expertise, facilities and regional proximity to Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia, the company is one of the leading tactical training operations in the U.S., and is the leading operation in the eastern U.S. for Non-Standard Weapon (former Soviet-Bloc) training.
Blackheart International Training (BHI Training) provides training and training facilities for a multitude of users. Primary attractions include a former 28,000 sq/ft hospital complex available for hard target and CQB scenarios as well as a number of outdoor live-fire ranges which can be tailored to the critical training or qualification requirements of the client. Whether attending one of our concealed carry courses or utilizing the available facilities to conduct your own training, BHI Training offers a low profile environment with year round options limited only by the imagination of the trainer.
The facility was procured to provide a discreet, secure and controlled training environment for specialized training scenarios. It was formerly an operational hospital and medical clinic that has been left intact. The building is a real facility that allows your organization to train exactly as they would operate. The facil- ity is styled to simulate a semi-permissive or permissive training environment for full mission profile training evolutions. Use of the facility as a critical incident site for SMU units allows for a new realistic target problem. The facility is on 11 acres on the northern edge of the town of Philippi, WV.
Through local government and law enforcement liaisons, various levels of coordination allow clients unique training opportunities. Examples of training scenarios may include, but are not limited to the following: Close Quarters Battle (CQB), Sniper Observer (S/O) Operations, Hostage Rescue, Target Analysis & Survey, Surveillance, Surveillance Detection, Advanced Medical Trauma Scenarios, and Evasion & Survival. Our training environment allows the unique opportunity to be custom tailored to each clients training needs. The facility may be used in the fully supported role or in the unsupported role that is ready for self-training by the client.
