HI Lightning Lok Titanium Firing Pin Kits represent a significant upgrade to standard steel firing pin and spring assemblies. The 40% weight reduction allows the firing pin to travel faster in the bolt, producing a quicker lock time and minimizing the chance of shot disturbance. The Lightning Lok Firing Pin features a hard Titanium Nitride (TiNi) coating, giving it an inherent lubricity that improves the friction coefficient for quicker, smoother travel through the bolt. The TiNi coating is also resistant to corrosion and high temperatures, effectively eliminating galling, fretting and seizing. And thanks to its hard, smooth surface, the firing pin resists fouling buildup and is easier to clean than coarse steel pins. Available for both the Remington 700 Short-Action and Long-Action platforms, each Lightning Lok kit also includes a robust 28lb. Wolff striker spring. This spring delivers a 4lb. increase over the factory spring to further decrease lock time and minimize shot disturbance.
