NEW LINES PEP UP THE POOL CLEANING BUSINESS
Futuristic designs are commonplace in the automatic pool market. But new 2011 launches are about to pep up sales of an already strong range of cleaners which make the once onerous chore of cleaning a swimming pool a hassle free delight

utomatic pool cleaners are now almost irresistible for anyone faced with the chore of cleaning a pool. The task of finding a way of efficiently collecting every piece of debris in the water has long been made simple by a colourful collection of automatic, electronic or suction cleaners which may look futuristic but which are hugely efficient and reliable.
The 2011 season has also been pepped up by the arrived of new ranges to an already successful market.
The brand names are already well known, from
the Big Yellow One to Baracuda from Zodiac to Dolphin, Kreepy Krauly and more. The success and popularity of these automatic pool cleaners lies in technology. These are pool cleaners with built in programmes to ‘remember’ pool shapes, to climb 90 degree walls, to deal with all sorts of shapes and sizes and work.
Fairlocks Pool Products have another futuristic looking product for the 2011 market – the Red Leopard Orbit Premium Automatic Pool Cleaner. Its exterior slips through the water with barely a sound and with the speed of a born predator it is precision balanced, which provides optional pool cleaning. The one-piece body provides maximum strength and durability and the proven, dependable diaphragm drive provides a powerful engine. One product has become something of a legend when it comes to automatic pool cleaners. Year on year Fairlocks lead the way in effective pool cleaning with their much copied but arguably never bettered distinctive yellow vac- head. The enduring popularity of “The Big Yellow One” is a testament to the design and functionality of the cleaning head. Strength and durability are vital components and at over three feet wide the Double Fairlocks can clean at a lightening square yard per second. Fairlocks director Julian Hunnable feels the success of the Fairlocks system is down to a number of factors saying; “I can honestly say that we have almost zero problems as the head is so well made that it really does last. In fact we have people who contact us looking for spare parts for vac heads that were made 25 years ago – and as we tend to keep a good stock of spare parts we can often accommodate, even after all that time. There are 26 component parts to a Fairlocks and as we take the view “if it’s not broken why fix it” we have not made any significant changes to the early design.”
