VENUE 101


The venue needed to be completed in time for the Hari Raya holiday in September 2010. This holiday attracts a lot of Indonesians to Bali. Thanks to a hard-working team the deadline was achieved and Boshe managed a soft opening after a just eight months of design and construction. It took a further couple of months to finalise the details of the venue, so the grand opening took place on 19 November 2010. mondo*dr’s Asia correspondent Jimmie Wing attended the opening, witnessing the outstanding event, and even getting to see the finishing touches being completed on the day. Local installation company Dempo, run by David Soewondo, was chosen to kit out Boshe, Kuta. He was given the challenge of providing technology that would not only cater for Boshe to function as a big dance club, but would also be capable of staging a variety of live performances on the broad elevated stage.
