Business Networking & Business Promotion Networking is an essential aspect of business, and Chamber


events enable members to meet in a relaxed and informal environment. Inevitably, it is the most active Chamber members who achieve the greatest benefits from their membership, constantly establishing new contacts, building up and strengthening existing relationships, as well as keeping abreast of the latest initiatives that could affect their business. Events range from business networking evenings, which


provide opportunities for members to meet socially, exchange cards, discuss business and make new contacts at decision- maker level, to lunches, dinners, breakfast meetings and information seminars, organised regularly in association with members and other organisations, and covering a wide range of business relevant issues. The Annual Lunch and President’s Banquet afford members


the opportunity to provide corporate hospitality to their own clients, potential clients or staff. Both events are well attended and always have a VIP keynote speaker from the world of business, politics or the media.

packages are available for the full range of Chamber events and represent an exceptionally cost-effective way to reach a wide audience. The Chamber organises and markets these events to all members removing the hassle normally associated with event management. • NICCWebsite – Your company will be listed on the


Chamber’s online directory in an easy search format. The Chamber website offers member's the opportunity to feature press releases in our member’s news section free of charge. Members are also free to submit upcoming events for listing on our member’s event calendar. The Chamber also offers members the opportunity to


advertise on www.northernirelandchamber.com. • E-shot facility – Members are provided with the


opportunity to communicate with fellow Chamber members directly in the form of an e-shot. We send no more than two of these per month to our members with a distribution of 1,800 email addresses. This service carries a cost of £750 + VAT per e-shot. •Member toMember discounts – As part of our on-going

rest of the world through our wide range of international trade services. Whether you are thinking of trading overseas, or you are an existing exporter looking to expand your markets, we can offer advice and assistance. The Chamber also provides an efficient and comprehensive


Export Documentation Service. Certificates of origin, commercial invoices, ATA Carnets and shipping documents for any destination worldwide are processed. The Chamber is an appointed agent for the Arab-British and Egyptian-British Chambers of Commerce, which enables us to facilitate the certification and legalisation process with minimum delay, including a daily courier service to the Arab British Chamber of Commerce. With the exception of Arab documents, all export documentation and ATA Carnets are heavily discounted to Chamber members.


Lobbying and Representation Lobbying and representation are important aspects of your


membership. We gather the views of members and ensure that your opinions and demands are expressed at every opportunity to the press, to public sector partners, and in response to formal consultations as well as through active lobbying. The Chamber monitors the work of government and its


associated bodies, and maintains a watching brief on issues such as business taxation, business finance, employment and education. Through our surveys and economic research, members have the chance to present their case on topics which affect their businesses, such as legislation, interest rates or worrying new trends.
