Neuhauser says the project is very interesting and because it deals with an invasive species of non-native bird, chemistry and agriculture, it’s a good fit for research in the Okanagan.


With a background in conservation biology and environmental science, she plans to go into agrology. Unfortunately, Neuhauser is having trouble finding people willing to gather sample of juvenile starlings in the Prince George area, so it’s the one area of the province missing in her “library.’

A farm business self-assessment (the Taking Stock workbook) must be completed before applying for funding assistance to access consulting services. There is also a version of the Taking Stock workbook for beginning farmers.
