Besides, sometimes people see someone with a guitar and actually expect him to play tunes. Imagine that. Timing being everything, this first
issue of Bounder coincides with the Motorcycle Ride’s anniversary as well being a precursor to the Father’s Day Do It For Dad run/walk fundraiser promoted by the Prostate Cancer Association of Ottawa. I don’t ride motorcycles, but I’m a runner so I will be there on Father’s Day surrounded by a phalanx of security to keep those bothersome photographers at bay. No, it’s not easy being a poster
boy.
Ottawa writer Richard Bercuson has been a columnist for The Ottawa Citizen and contributed to various publications over the years. His short fiction has garnered him both national and regional awards. On so-called normal days, he teaches adult high school and coaches hockey as well as being a Hockey Canada national coaching program instructor.
