ALK the Walk and raise money for
breast cancer care and research in
Inverleith Park, Edinburgh on June 19 2010.
The annual fundraiser will take to the moonlit
streets and celebrities are already signing up for the
walk.
Lorraine Kelly, TV presenter, said: ‘I am really look-
ing forward to doing The Moon Walk in Edinburgh.
This one will be extra special as my mum Anne and
daughter Rosie will be joining me.’
There is a choice of two challenges: The Full
Moon, a walk of 26.2 miles, or The Half Moon, a
walk of 13.1 miles.
Organiser Nina Barough said: ‘Moon Walk Ed-
inburgh has raised almost £9.5 million, making it
possible for Walk the Walk to achieve some very
tangible results in making a difference for patients.
‘Walk the Walk is especially proud that due to its
own special Scalp Cooling project, which prevent
people losing their hair whilst undergoing chemo-
therapy, machines are already in hospitals in Elgin,
Isle of Skye, Alexandria, Greenock, Glasgow,
Kilmarnock and Ayr.’
