Hartlepool’s main leisure centre Mill House is coming to the
end of its economic life expectancy and Hartlepool Borough
Council and its partners are seeking to replace this with an

exciting new facility. Working with the local community we see
its replacement as making an important contribution to health,
social inclusion and the local environment.
Hartlepool Borough Council has carried out an initial feasibility
study which sets out a vision for the future and now seeks

commercial advice on the most effective options for delivering a
mixed use leisure led development in the Mill House area of the
SPORTS CENTRE
town centre.
The new facility is part of a wider plan which brings together a

could include a hotel, shops, housing and link with the football
club and local brewery that both have facilities on the site.
