The British & International Franchise Exhibition | 20 & 21 January | London
Event Preview Your guide to the exhibition
Britain is fast becoming a key global contender in franchising, a sector that has previously been dominated by the US. An impressive 38% of British franchises now operate units overseas, marking a period of success for international expansion. The new year is the perfect time to explore the fantastic global opportunities on offer.
The British & International Franchise Exhibition showcases the best franchise brands in the industry. We pride ourselves on our collaboration with franchises from an extensive range of sectors, such as food and drink, property, fi tness, and care. Our exhibitions cater to all budget levels, with some opportunities starting from under £10,000, and ranging up to high-level investments with global market leaders such as McDonald’s and Anytime Fitness.
This year, our long-standing relationship with the British Franchise Association (bfa) continues to fl ourish. The support of the franchise industry’s regulatory body ensures we continue to work with brands that have demonstrated a strong and ethical business model. The bfa stipulates that all brands must have passed through their accreditation process before exhibiting.
The face-to-face interaction available at our exhibition allows for instant relationships to be formed between franchisors and prospective franchisees. This gives visitors access to fi rst-hand information about franchising and opportunities with the brands that interest them.
As a valued visitor, you are invited to attend over 60 free presentations, workshops and panel sessions, covering essential information on a range of topics. Throughout the exhibition,
business leaders, franchisors, and representatives from trade associations will be available to deliver impartial advice to support your franchise journey.
This year the event will feature motivational keynotes by Jason Clark, COO, McDonald’s, Joseph Valente, winner of The Apprentice 2015, Paul Brown and Katy Cottam from BOL Foods, and Andrew Reeve, founder of HonestBrew, who will advise visitors on how to develop a winning business. Their entrepreneurial stories are sure to inspire the next generation of franchisees.
Visitors with an interest in overseas expansion should head to Theatre 4 to hear from international business leaders in the International Franchise Conference; there has never been a more exciting time to discuss the future of global franchising strategies. The conference will cover topics such as taking an international brand into new territories and bringing an international brand to the UK.
I would like to strongly encourage visitors to take advantage of all the expertise available onsite over this extensive two-day programme. We have carefully designed a space for prospective business owners to develop all the knowledge necessary to succeed in franchising, and we look forward to welcoming you to Olympia London on 20 & 21 January.

The British & International Franchise Exhibition in 2016 It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet with impartial experts who have specialist knowledge
in franchising.
This exhibition has provided me with an ideal opportunity to get in front of franchise brands and have one-on-one in-depth discussions with them. Knowing that every exhibitor is bfa- accredited has given me great confi dence in the advice I’ve received.
