Modern

A

rtists often struggle to create and some have even had to struggle to be able to create. Many of these artists, emerging from the most difficult of times, have blossomed into becoming the great masters which we now enjoy in galleries and museums around the world. Chuck Joseph is one of these. With a spirit to overcome a childhood filled with adversity and challenges he found art and sought it as a refuge. Through art he

forged a passion

for things that exuded beauty and inspiration. As an adult, Chuck

continues to strive to create art that is first and foremost beautiful. His work transports the viewer to far and near iconic places filled with fashion and a celebration of life. Whether depict

his local

paintings landmarks

along the Sunset Strip or the fabulous Moulin Rouge in Paris, Chuck has the ability to transport the viewer to an iconic moment in

which we are living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. His work makes you feel like you are one of the in-crowd...hip, classy, and above all beautifully important! A self taught artist, Chuck likes to

challenge traditional perceptions of art by sampling alternative mediums. Utilizing the unconventional in his work, he often uses vintage maps and posters embedded onto the canvas; barely visible under the paint. Using a combination of brush work and palette knives these tools give Chuck the sense that he is “sculpting” each piece. Chuck Joseph’s journey has come

along way both personally and artistically. We as viewers are fortunate to have been invited, as his work continually allows us to become whatever we desire regardless of what we have experienced or where we came from. His work inspires us to become whatever we want to be!
