Those expressions are also connected to a person’s physical presence.” Gabe states. Through what he paints the oil streaks run like film fluttering inside the camera eye. He stays in place in front of that canvas for about the same time it takes for one of his guitar straddling poets to fill their rooms with smoke or the actor’s mesmerizing gaze. spending the night on the beach in order to get a spot the next day he became akin to the struggle of any artist. His own celebration of being an artist and the awe with which he paints other artists is felt in every painting he does.
