Weidmüller showcases new range of products and services at Southern Manufacturing

Demand

side management - a fantastic idea and

you offer brilliant service

e’re all agreed on the benefits of demand side management. You’ve grasped the opportunity and work with smart businesses to deliver savings and cut carbon emissions, easing the strain on generating capacity and making renewables more viable. Well done.

W But, is the equipment you use the best? For optimum results, you need reliable, fast and

accurate frequency monitoring – equipment which copes with high levels of harmonic noise, remains stable under all sorts of conditions and which can be powered from a universal input mains supply. To us – and to those in the know – that sounds like our SD037, with its inbuilt, 3 pole, low-pass Bessel filter.

Verification Loop for ABLE

n keeping with their commitment to excellence in the field of measurement, Reading based ABLE Instruments & Controls Ltd will be unveiling a flare gas meter verification loop using an internationally traceable transfer standard. The loop will form part of their new state of the art training facility. ABLE’s spool mounted reference standard will be calibrated at the Dutch Metrology Institute’s internationally renowned Van Swinden Flow Laboratory (VSL) in Delft against their primary standard.

ABLE

recommends all flare gas meters are calibrated prior to installation, under conditions resembling, as closely as possible, those of actual operation. Traceable calibration verifies that the meter has been manufactured to the specified tolerances. In addition to verification services, ABLE will be offering a comprehensive range of flow metering training courses with an appropriate balance of class room based theoretical content and hands-on practical elements.
