Strong Q1 performance for TaylorMade

metalwood brand in Q1 2015 in Europe. TaylorMade launched both its R15 and

T

AeroBurner family of metalwoods at the start of 2015, utilising breakthrough technologies such as Inverted Cone Technology, Thick-Thin WallCastings, Movable Weights and Low-Forward Centre of Gravity in the R15, and an ‘Aero hosel’, raised centre crown and rounded toe section, in the AeroBurner metalwoods. According to a recent consumer purchase

behaviour study conducted by independent research company Golfdatatech, TaylorMade continued to be recognised as the leading brand for ‘Innovation and Technology’. The brands’ metalwood success has

continued on Tour, with the revolutionary R15 Driver quickly emerging dominant, claiming the No.1 Driver Model (Based on Sports Marketing Surveys Inc. & Darrell Surveys) in its first week on the European Tour at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and has since continued to remain in the top spot. The product’s performance has also been

reaffirmed with multiple Tour Professional wins using both R15 and AeroBurner products worldwide. In addition to the Q1 results, TaylorMade’s metalwoods have earned numerous accolades across industry awards in Europe, from ‘Gold Awards’ for the R15 Driver to ‘Best on Test – Distance’ for AeroBurner. In the much coveted Golf Digest’s Hotlist, the R15 made history again - the only Driver to earn 20 out of 20 stars, with five stars in the categories of: Performance, Innovation, Look/Sound/Feel and Demand. This marks the second consecutive year for TaylorMade Golf to earn 20 out of 20 for a driver model in Golf Digest’s Hotlist. These results mark a strong start to 2015

for TaylorMade Golf, and David Silvers – managing director, TaylorMade-adidas Golf EMEA, said: “At TaylorMade we are committed to innovation to drive the best in product performance. Our results for Q1 are great validation that golfers at every level, from the Professional Tours to the club player, recognise that TaylorMade is the brand best positioned to help them maximise their game”.

Exotics announce CB PRO F2 T

our Edge Exotics has announced the release of the second-generation CB Pro fairway wood, the CB Pro F2.

The F2 looks noticeably different with a smaller, matte black club head, and a redesigned Slip Stream sole to increase ball speed. The new F2 fairway wood limited edition, brings the best technologies of golf together in one unique, sublime package. The inaugural CB Pro

fairway wood released in the autumn of 2013, created waves throughout the industry with its’ unique sole design and superior pairings. David Glod, president and founder,

said: “The foundation of Exotics is to bring the best technology in the industry to players worldwide and that is my goal with each new product introduction. The CB Pro family of clubs is our premium line and the new F2 fairway wood only adds to that reputation.” The sole DNA of the F2 has been completely

remodelled to maximize the player’s club head speed. The new patented Slip Stream soles waves are reduced in length to further minimise turf contact regardless of the attack angle and position of the head at impact. Bold, new heel and toe cavities provide less turf interaction, ideal weighting, and improved workability. The F2 is exceptionally fast and smooth through the turf from any lie. The CB Pro F2 features a 159cc club head,

slightly smaller than the original for a Tour preferred size and shape. The refined size has allowed engineers to adjust the centre of gravity closer to the face, increasing ball speed. The F2 fairway wood’s premium beta titanium

cup face is five percent lighter than the previous model due to a more extreme variable face thickness design. Removing the weight from the face and redistributing it in the heavier hyper- steel body produces peak ball speed and distance in a fairway wood. The Exotic’s tradition of combo brazing the beta-titanium cupped face with the hyper steel body means that every single gram of excess weight is eliminated from the face and shiſted to the sole for a lower centre of gravity position in the compact head.
