Integritas gains ground with ninth BALI Award
Award for its ground maintenance work at Goodman’s Hatfield Business Park, Hertfordshire. The company, part of Securitas Security Services, was named winner of the ‘Ground Maintenance – Limited Public Access’ category. Owner of Hatfield Business Park, global integrated property Group Goodman, worked closely with Integritas Landscapes to secure the award. Set on 400 acres at the former Hatfield Aerodrome, Hatfield Business Park is set within a carefully landscaped environment, where employees can enjoy a series of intimate meadowland footpaths, as well as water features and ample lawn space. Integritas undertakes regular regeneration planting to address over-matured landscaping and to ensure the park’s continued aesthetics. Integritas Regional Manager,

David Taylor, said: “We have created a unique atmosphere across the site with ample lawns and roadside verges bisected with shrub belts and mature trees. The site also boasts a series of formal water features which we have used to create focal points. “All work is conducted to the best possible standards of horticultural practice, including a comprehensive turf care programme and pest and

disease monitoring and treatment where required,” said David. “Pruning is carried out to provide longevity through segregation and reduction and to promote flowering to give the shrub stock a natural and flowing look.” On the award win, Integritas Area Director, Mark Lusty added: “Winning our ninth award is fantastic news because it clearly demonstrates our long-running commitment to exceptional standards. I’d personally like to thank our site team Richard Clark, Dan Brown, Jonathan Slaughter, Paul Howe, Aaron Hannington and Lewis Kelly for the exemplary work they contribute every day to ensure the site is immaculate. We would not have won this award without them.” Richard Potter, Property Services Director of Goodman’s UK Business Parks, said: “We are thrilled that yet another one of our business parks has won this prestigious award. At Goodman we are passionate about providing quality surroundings to those who work on our parks, and Integritas continues to help us achieve this at Hatfield.
“Goodman has a history of success when it comes to award-winning landscaping, with Gloucester Business Park and Arlington Business Park also having previous successes at the BALI Awards. These successes
demonstrate the high standards we are committed to providing to our customers and their employees.” Hatfield Business Park has been maintained by Integritas since its initial development in 1999 and the permanent six-man team has recently been bolstered with the addition of an apprentice working towards an NVQ 2 in Amenity Horticulture. Held annually to recognise excellence in landscape design, construction and maintenance, the BALI Awards are run in association with Horticulture Week and are attended by more than 700 industry professionals. The award will be presented at a ceremony held at the five star Grosvenor House, London.
