his April, Exclusive Collections Laguna Beach Gallery’s group show features three artists who demonstrate both the mastery and diversity of bronze sculpture. Fashioning works to meet their needs as contemporary artists, renowned sculptors Paige Bradley, Paul B. Lotz, and Tuan use the medium to entirely different ends, each one carving out his or her own unique voice.

With his philosophy of existential balance, Tuan transforms bronze sculpture into something seemingly weightless. Emotionally charged and physically taxing, his work emphasizes human struggle and endurance, and his works stand as a testament to his own juxtaposition of

perseverance and sufferance. His figures offset pain with hope, failure with determination, and unity with isolation, while his earthy patinas seem to reference his own beginnings as a sculptor when he created figures in the clay of his prison cell.
