Meet

Alonzo Bodden is a professional stand-up comedian and actor. Living for the past 33 years in Los Angeles, Bodden began his career in the aerospace industry. When training new mechanics, however, Bodden realized he had more fun making them laugh. He tried stand-up comedy and never looked back.

A His first big comedy break came in New Faces of Comedy

at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Ten years later he was the winner of the third season of Last Comic Standing. Over the past 18 years, Bodden has traveled extensively and worked diligently to bring his comedy to different audiences. “I’ve done all the late night shows: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show, and Comedy Central, to name a few.” Bodden has entertained troops for the USO from Iraq to Greenland, and hosted numerous TV series including 101 Cars You Must Drive on Speed and America’s Worst

Driver on the Travel Channel. He is a regular on NPR’s Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me! and Comedy Congress, and a panelist on Game Show Network’s hit Mind of A Man. Bodden has played a security guard, bouncer, crook, and cop on numerous shows and has also appeared in films, including Bringing Down the House starring Steve Martin and Scary Movie 4. Bodden was even the voice of Thunderon in the Power Ranger movie. He has a Showtime Special and DVD titled Who’s Paying Attention?
