LAB CAVE WAS founded in March 2013 by Fernando and Óscar García. It specialises in developing games for mobile platforms: not only iOS and Android, but also Windows Phone and Blackberry. Its debut title was F2P action
game Jeffrey Space (pictured), which sees players guide a frog in a space suit through various harsh alien landscapes, defeating enemies with a quirky mixture of guns and sonic burping. The team is working on
several new games that will be released next year. Lab Cave was accepted into
the Vicálvaro business incubator earlier this year.
LADY SHOTGUN
LADY SHOTGUN WAS funded by Anna Marsh, Sarah van Rompaey and Gabriela Pavan, experienced developers with credits for hits such as Tomb Raider, Hitman, SingStar and more under their belts. In a rarity for the games
industry, the trio gathered a largely female team around them to work on the studio’s games. The studio’s first release was popular mobile game Buddha Finger (pictured), described by its creators as “part twitch action, part beat ‘em up”. The title has received plenty of positive press and been ported to Windows Phones, Windows 8 and Android.
