New Partnership Promises Savings for KEC Members
Cooperative (KEC)members to make major improvements in their home's energy efficiency. It will also create as many as eight fulltime jobs for southeast Oklahoma.

For members who qualify, KEC's partnership with Nebraska-based Energy Pioneer Solutions, Inc. could finance improvements such as storm windows and doors, major appliances, geothermal heat pumps and insulation based on careful inspection of a home's energy needs. The inspection will include a professional energy audit by trained energy specialists.
"We want our members to make the improvements that will be most effective for them in terms of energy savings," said Todd Minshall, director of

KEC member services. "For some that could be a new heating and air unit; for others it might be something else."
Qualified local contractors will be hired to make the suggested home improvements. Energy Pioneer Solutions will oversee all installations to ensure work meets proper standards.
KEC's agreement with Energy Pioneer Solutions, Inc., marks the first such partnership in Oklahoma. It is patterned on similar successful electric cooperative programs that are helping members reduce home energy costs.
