extended rAted voltAges
The range of EPCOS aluminum electrolytic capacitors now offers types with higher rated voltages. For the screw terminal types in the new B43700* and B43720* series, the previous rated voltage of 550 V DC has been raised to 600 V DC. These capacitors cover a capacitance range from 1200 µF to 6800 µF and are designed for temperatures up to 85 °
life of 8000 h and a voltage range from 200 V DC to 450 V DC. They are available with capacitances of 82 µF to 2200 µF. The thermal resistances and ESR values of both series were further reduced, so that the ripple current capability was significantly increased. They are designed for a maximum ambient temperature of 105 °
C.

The B32774* to B32778* high density series of DC link film capacitors are now available with two new voltage classes of 575 V DC and 900 V DC. Altogether the series cover rated voltages of 450 V DC, 575 V DC (new), 800 V DC, 900 V DC (new), 1100 V DC, and 1300 V DC. The capacitors offer capacitance values ranging from 1.0 μF to 110 μF and are designed for operating temperatures of up to 105 °

The B3267*P* series of EPCOS MKP film capacitors features a significantly reduced volume. For example the type with a capacitance of 1 µF and a rated voltage of 450 V DC has dimensions of only 8.0 x 17.5 x 13.0 mm³ thanks to a high capacitance density with a lead spacing of 10 mm. This corresponds to a volume reduction of around 40 percent compared with the predecessor type with a lead spacing of 15 mm. The new series comprises types with lead spacings of 10 mm, 15 mm and 22.5 mm, respectively. The capacitors are designed for rated voltages of 450 V DC, 520 V DC and 630 V DC and cover a capacitance range from 68 nF to 2.2 µF. These components are suitable for a continuous operating temperature of 125 °
C. Thanks to their low ESR values of down to less than 2.0 mΩ, they feature a current capability of up to 20 ARMS at 70 °
C and 10 kHz.
The capacitors exhibit minimal capacitance drift over the entire operating life of 200,000 hours. The MKP capacitors are self-healing, which significantly reduces the risk of failure. Due to their very good electrical characteristics the EPCOS MKP high density series is suitable for use in DC link and DC filtering functions in power converters.
