Crompton Lamps has launched an LED retrofit lamp that is a similar size and shape to that of the standard GLS lamp. Since their launch onto the market, energy efficient lamps have come in a myriad of shapes and sizes, including tube, candle, spiral, globe and many other options but for some applications it is still the GLS shape that is preferred. Kingfisher have released ALUDRA, a high specification, low profile die-cast floodlight, perfect for large area illumination such as car parks or retail. Aludra is available with a wide choice of lamp and gear packages including energy-saving, long life 45w and 90w CosmoPolis and 20w, 30w and 60w LED (image). A quick release, tool-less catch cuts installation and maintenance time. Sealed to IP65, Aludra has a ULOR of <10% and comes as standard with a built in aiming protractor.

As part of their new LED range, the Solara Miledo hosts a number of technical and aesthetic features including outstanding performance, choice of lumen outputs, colour temperatures, operating systems and 27 individual accessories.

GL Optic Profi-Spectrometer is a unique integrated spectroradiometer containing a high sensitivity back thinned CCD image sensor and the revolutionary Optical Stray Light Reduction method which brings spectral light measurement to higher levels than has been seen before in the industry. Different light sources such as LEDs, fluorescent lamps and LCD displays require different optical probes. The Profi-Spectrometer may be combined with additional equipment to measure all different light sources and displays as well as LED's.
