fruit-mango foam. Disney’s answer to Butterbeer? We couldn’t possibly comment.

Just outside the village is Enchanted Tales with Belle at Maurice’s cottage. An magical mirror is the doorway to a “captivating new kind of storytelling experience.” Using props and costumes, guests step right into the story of Beauty and the Beast and share in a lively, interactive re-telling of the “tale as old as time.” Retail opportunities in the Enchanted Forest include Ariel’s Grotto and Bonjour! Village Gifts.

Storybook Circus It’s big fun under the Big Top in Storybook Circus, where one of Fantasyland’s most popular attractions has doubled in size. Now comprising two individual ride units, one going clockwise, the other anticlockwise, Dumbo the Flying Elephant seats a total of 64 passengers in 32 Dumbo-themed cars (16 per ride). Inside the adjoining air-conditioned queuing area, guests can immerse themselves in series of circus-themed interactive experiences as they await their turn to ride. A ticket pager notifies them when their elephant is waiting.

The Barnstormer is a family coaster that formerly operated as Goofy’s Barnstormer in Mickey’s Toontown Fair, whilst Casey Jr Splash ‘N’ Soak Station is water play area. Nearby, Pete’s Silly Sideshow shines the spotlight on Minnie Magnifique (Minnie Mouse), Madame Daisy Fortuna (Daisy Duck as a fortune teller), The Great Goofini (Goofy as a stunt pilot) and The Astounding Donaldo (Donald Duck as a snake charmer). Shopping is available at Big Top Souvenirs. Storybook Circus is also home to a new stop on the

Walt Disney World Railroad that circles the entire park. The Fantasyland Train Station pays homage to both the elegant train travel of America’s past and the passion Walt Disney had for trains. Eagle-eyed Disney fans will notice a reference to “Fair Weather Place” – a nod to the “Fair Weather Route” steam engine Walt had running through his backyard.

Fantasyland 2.1 Maurice’s cottage

The Fantasyland expansion is not complete just yet, and more new attractions await over the next 12 months. Located in the Castle Courtyard in the centre of Fantasyland, Princess Fairytale Hall will be the new home for Disney princesses to meet their loyal subjects in the Magic Kingdom. When it’s time for their audience with a princess, guests will proceed to elegantly finished chambers to meet Aurora, Cinderella, Tiana and Rapunzel in late 2013.

Then in 2014, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will take guests on a musical ride into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The family-style coaster will feature a first-of-its-kind ride system with a train of vehicles that swing back and forth, responding to every twist and turn of the track. The journey will be accompanied by animated figures and music from the classic Disney film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
