The Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Veterans Memorial opened its doors in January 2012 after a $42 million renovation project which added a multi-purpose 28,800 square foot ballroom and 27 additional meeting rooms to the complex. Designed for convenience and versatility, the Iowa Events Center offers


150,000 sq. ft. of contiguous exhibit space accommodating 1,020 booths or 6,000 for a banquet, and is divisible into three rooms. Hy-Vee Hall has 35-ft. ceilings, ten loading bays and two drive-on ramps from a dedicated, off-street staging area. Exhibitors will enjoy the ease of move-in and the services readily available at the


booth through recessed utility boxes including state-of-the-art telecommunications. Spacious pre-function areas, wireless and fiber-optic connections and a variety of show offices and storage space await each meeting professional. Des Moines’ skywalk system connects meeting facilities with convention hotels,


parking, restaurants and shopping. More than 1,700 downtown sleeping rooms are within one mile of the Iowa Events Center, with a variety of amenities and rates to accommodate all budgets.
