Rolfing reverses these patterns. Over a series of ten sessions, a Rolfer goes through each part of the body and frees these adhesions to restore balance and create a freely-moving, functional whole. The benefits of Rolfing are many: movements become freer, easier and more spontaneous, posture improves, athletic performance increases and many chronic problems, such as those mentioned above, are either reduced or eliminated entirely. In short, life becomes fun again. Most importantly, these changes are very long lasting.

Because of Rolfing’s ability to affect these kinds of changes, some therapists will claim to do Rolfing but have not been formally trained in the discipline. Rolfing is a registered trademark of the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration (RISI) and only those who have been trained and licensed by the Rolf Institute are deemed capable of doing this work.
