quarter of 2011. To enter the contest, members gave any response to the question, “How do you save on your winter energy bills?”

Maria said they use blinds on their windows and turn off lights when they leave the room. Her family also unplugs the television and other electronics when they are not using them.

“I’m really happy with Tri-County Electric,” said Maria. “Their payment options are very helpful.”

Maria and Enrique live in Guymon with their four children. They have three boys, Marcos, age 6, Elixandro, age 17, and Jovany, age 19 . Their daughter Daisy is 13.

Maria said they plan to use their $50 savings toward another bill or for something they might need around the house.

All members of the family are active members of the Iglesia de Dios Manantial de Vida church in Guymon. She said her Christian beliefs help her in being able to overcome any difficulties she has – whether that’s paying her bills or doing something else.

“We’re very thankful for the opportunity to be able to enter this drawing,” said Maria. “I think this drawing is a way the cooperative is looking out for its members.”
