Payment Options Average Monthly Payment Plan. CEC’s budget billing program curbs seasonal high bills by averaging your usage over the past 11 months. Instead of paying high bills caused by winter heating and/or summer cooling, your bill will vary only slightly from month to month. (Ext. 203)


Automatic Bank Draft: Sign up for CEC’s automatic bank draft program and your electric bill is paid every month via automatic draft of your checking or savings account (Ext. 245), or via credit card (Ext. 210).


Credit Card Payments: CEC accepts electric bill payments via Visa,Mastercard or debit card at CEC offices in Hugo, Antlers and Idabel. (Ext. 210)


Online bill payments. Pay your bill online at www.choctawelectric.coop. For questions about online bill pay, call 800-780-6486, ext. 204.


CEC Loans. Talk to CEC about financing for storm shelters (Ext. 207); appliances and water heaters (Ext. 248); and energy efficiency home improvements such as new windows, insulation, etc. (Ext. 248).


Co-op Connections. CEC’s Co-op Connections savings card will earn you discounts and savings at particpating local, state and national businesses. The card will also save you from 10 to 50 percent on prescription medicines. (Ext. 244)


Energy Audits CEC offers free home energy for members. CEC energy specialists carefully inspect your home, point out areas of energy loss, and work with you to find affordable solutions. (Ext. 233 or 218)


Imap Weather Alerts. Download this application at www.choctawelectric.coop and receive severe weather updates as well as other weather details via text or email.


Internet Service. Wireless Internet service is available for CEC members via a co-op partnership with Valliant Telephone Company. CEC members receive a discount on installation fees, with co-op financing available to cover the cost. (Ext. 244)


Marathon Water Heaters. CEC offers energy efficient Marathon brand water heaters at cost to members, with loans available to cover the cost of the purchase. (Ext. 248)


Safety presentations and CPR Training. Play it safe by scheduling a free safety program for your classroom, youth group, church or civic organization. Programs cover electrical safety in and around the home, plus CPR training. (Ext. 227)


Safe Driving Classes. Enroll in an AARP Safe Driving course taught by one of CEC’s certified instructors, or schedule a class for a special group.You’ll polish your driving skills, and could earn a reduction on your automobile insurance costs. (Ext. 248)


Security Lights. Deter burglars by installing a high pressure sodium security light from CEC. As an added benefit, CEC


will install and maintain your light free of charge. (Ext. 203 or 204)


Storm Shelters. Protect your family from tornadoes and fierce storms by installing a safe and dry in-ground storm shelter. Shelters are constructed of pre-cast concrete with plenty of safety features and ventilation to pull in fresh air. Better yet, CEC offers low interest financing to cover the cost. (Ext. 207)


WindWorks. Support Oklahoma’s wind energy program, and the advantages of clean, renewable Oklahoma wind power, by signing up for WindWorks. Participants may sign up for up to five renewable energy credits per month. Each credit represents the environmental benefit of 100 kilowatt hours of renewable energy. (Ext. 207)


Weather DecisionTechnologies. A Web-based weather radar service that lets users make better decisions based on short-term predictions and warnings. CEC offers this service to schools and emergency personnel in the CEC service area. (Ext. 244)


Youth Programs. CEC believes in supporting local kids. CEC offers programs such as the Rural Electric YouthTour for high school juniors (Ext. 217), YouthPower Energy Camp for eighth graders (Ext. 248), and Kilowatt Kids Camp for 3rd grade students (Ext. 248). CEC also provides the Danger Ranger energy education program for local schools and welcomes classroom tours of co-op facilities throughout the year (Ext. 248).
