CDIB Capital has appointed Victor Gao, China head at Greater Pacific Capital, as a managing director based in Hong Kong, charged with leading the firm’s private equity investments in mainland China.

GTCR Promotes Aaron D. Cohen and Sean L. Cunningham to Principal
GTCR, a leading private equity firm, announced today the promotions of Aaron D. Cohen and Sean L. Cunningham to Principal. Mr. Cohen joined GTCR in 2003 as an Associate and became a Vice President in 2004. During his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in many successful investments including Prestige Brands. He is currently on the boards of AssuredPartners, BankServ, Ironshore and Protection 1. Cohen holds a BS in Accountancy with high honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a CPA. Mr. Cunningham joined GTCR in 2001 and became a Vice President in 2005. He has played an instrumental role in several of the firm’s successful investments including Ovation Pharmaceuticals. He is currently on the boards of Devicor Medical Products and Sterigenics. Cunningham holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as well as AB and BE degrees in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College.
Blackstone takes Yi Luo from Carlyle
Blackstone Group has nabbed Yi Luo, a managing director at The Carlyle Group, to bolster its dealmaking team in China. Luo will assume the role of senior managing director based in Shanghai and report to Blackstone Asia head Michael Chae
Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc appointed Aubrey Adams as head of property in its global restructuring group
Adams was CEO of real estate consultancy Savills plc from 1991 to 2008. Helen Gordon will report to him. She recently joined from Legal and General Investment Management as head of West Register, an RBS investment company that acquires property from financially distressed situations.
Wells Fargo & Co. expands M&A escrow business in California
Raafat Sarkis and Shelly Perriard joined as senior relationship managers. Sarkis was business manager of corporate trust and escrow services at Deutsche Bank National Trust Co. Perriard joins Wells Fargo from Icon Consulting, where she worked primarily with Deutsche Bank National.
