Amusement Management Partners (AMP), the operator of theme parks, waterparks and family entertainment centres chaired by former Ripley Entertainment CEO Bob Masterson, has selected EFA Partners (EFA) as its exclusive financial advisor as it seeks new opportunities in the US and internationally. “We feel there will be many attractive opportunities to grow our business during the upcoming months as various industry players seek to divest their properties or seek seasoned management teams,” states Masterson.
Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio, will add a mat- racer slide complex to its Soak City waterpark next season.

1) On the left you will see a long building we call The Mall. This is where my very talented wife Eva sells many of her retail items, as she is in charge of, first, raising our two beautiful girls, and second, taking care of all retail in the park. Fashion is a big part of Eva’s background. One of her most challenging duties is keeping me in line from investing every single last dollar back into the park. Good luck!
2) In the background you can see two yellow towers being erected for one of our new extreme attractions this year, The Catapult. This attraction catapults riders 160ft in the air. Not a chance of seeing me on it, but my two daughters Fotini and Maria (13 and 11) love it.
3) There are some great views from the top of the tree: the monorail, the mini wheel, the mini drop tower and other areas of the park including our new Raptor coaster! Let your guests have enough time to breathe, discover and admire the theming, while they enjoy others having fun.
4) The surf pool, Poseidon’s Rage, that you see here with just a few people in it, is currently the most expensive attraction we’ve ever put in. This attraction is still rated as number one in my book. It’s the next best thing to the ocean. But what good is a 9ft wave without a huge sand beach? So this year we added one.

Merlin Entertainments has announced two important additions to its senior management team for Legoland Malaysia, which will open early next year under the leadership of general manager Siegfried Borst Confirmed as human relations director is Nor Ashikin, who brings more than 20 years of HR experience, serving most recently with the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. A native Malaysian, Ashikin also spent some time working in Europe at the beginning of her career.

Munusamy, meanwhile, joins the team as sales and marketing director. Also a native Malaysian, she has more than 15 years of experience in field and spend the last six years within sales and marketing at the Sunway Lagoon theme park resort in Kuala Lumpur. She also has marketing experience in the hotel sector.
Lee W Merrick, 92, who owned the Little Amerricka amusement park that bore his name in Marshall, Wisconsin, died in August after a brief illness at the age of 92.
The skyline in Saco, Maine, will be change when Funtown Splashtown USA opens its newest water slide tower in June of 2012. The new tower will feature six new water slides from WhiteWater West.
