F
or All the S Janet May
aints...
Twice daily, as hymn concerts drift across campus, we remember Janet. She donated the new carillon in the tower of Siebert Chapel, and provided scholarships for many students who listen to those hymns in the midst of college life.
Across more than 90 years, Janet was a wife, mother, active Lutheran, and philanthropist. She knitted, wrote haiku poetry, read mysteries, and painted watercolors. She loved summer solitude and communed with nature from her home on Lake Michigan. She supported the local symphony, museums, Carthage, and particularly her church. She passed all her days right here in Kenosha, and remained vibrant and active virtually until her death a few weeks ago. Hers was a life worth living, and we miss her.
Planned and estate gifts to Carthage, such as will inclusions, charitable gift annuities and trusts, and life insurance, provide ideal opportunities to benefit you and the College. Call Dr. Jim Unglaube at 1-262-945-3024; send e-mail to
junglaube@carthage.edu; or write to him at Carthage College, Kenosha, Wisconsin 53140.
