Behind the Scenes

If a wedding planner is not involved, a great resource for finding the best vendors is to ask the reception venue manager for recommendations. The staff that manages your reception location has most likely worked with a variety of vendors and therefore can give you an unbiased opinion. We feel the most important vendors to book are your photographer and your band.

Photographer It’s all about the pictures…..

Remember, your photographer is responsible for capturing one of the happiest and most important days of your life. The images they create will allow you to share the memories of your wedding for generations to come. Of course, the first part of selecting a photographer is to get recommendations from family and friends. Our area has scores of fantastic photographers and we recommend starting your search by scanning the plethora of websites to see which shutterbugs’ style you prefer. If they don’t have client slide shows on their website, be sure to ask to see pictures of a few of their complete weddings so you can see how they capture the entire wedding day. We highly recommend, if possible, sitting with your perspective photographer to see if they are a good fit for you. Your photographer will be with you during the really intimate moments of your wedding day and being around them should feel “just right”!
