Richard most recently was Publisher and Editor of Travel Advance, a daily travel-industry newsletter. Most of his career was spent at AAA, however, where he was Managing Director of Public Affairs in Washington, DC and, earlier, PR Director for AAA Connecticut in Meridan, Conn. Richard started his career as a radio news reporter and later worked at Chirurg and Cairns and A. Shaw Associates in advertising. Richard was born in Boston, MA on April 16, 1935 and moved to Miami in 1996. He was an avid tennis player and loved theater and baseball. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Musinski of Centreville, VA and Kristen Campbell of Falls Church, VA, two grandchildren, Justine Price of Culpepper, VA and Tyler Price of Cartersville, GA, and two great-grandchildren. Suddenly on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, of Burke, VA. Beloved husband of and survived by his beloved wife Susan and adored daughter Elizabeth; father James E. McCannell; brothers Dick, Jim (Sue), Bruce (Pam); mother-in-law Bunny Hall and family, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Lula. Bob was a native of Arlington, VA, attended William & Mary, and graduated from Virginia Weslyan with a History degree. He joined the old CSC as a budget examiner and rose to be the Executive Director, Office of the Legal Adviser, US State Department, from which he retired in 2004. He was a dedicated crew, volley- ball, and soccer parent, locally coaching winning teams in the latter two sports. He was an avid U Michigan Crew team parent remembered for his Costco cookies and water, team photos, sense of humor, and smile. He was known for his excellence and selflessness. Born into eternity on Monday, September 6, 2010. He is survived by his devoted friend Geraldine Evans Wilson; five children Gwen- dolyn Winston-Wilson, Charles H. Wilson, III, Dominic Wilson, Julie Hodo and Marc Wilson, Sr.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Clinton E. Wilson. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, Sep- tember 14, 2010 at Clinton African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, 223 Elizabeth Avenue, Rockville,MD for a memorial service at 11 am.
