Director of Nursing, Emergency Department
The primary purpose of the Director of Emergency Services position is to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to the Emergency Department.
The Director will facilitate the smooth and efficient operations of the Emergency Department, and ensure adherence to all regulatory and quality standards, in collaboration with the ED physician leadership.
The Director promotes a positive patient experience through education and support of staff. This position coordinates throughput processes, and positions the hospital to respond effectively to internal and external disasters that may occur.
Qualifications
s ,ICENSED AS A 2EGISTERED .URSE IN THE 3TATE OF .EW *ERSEY
s "ACHELOR S $EGREE IN .URSING IS REQUIRED
s -ASTER S LEVEL IN .URSING OR OTHER HEALTH related/business field required.
s &IVE YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED with three years of progressive management experience and a strong knowledge of ED operations is required.
s #ERTIlCATION IN %MERGENCY .URSING PREFERRED
s -UST DEMONSTRATE SIGNIlCANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS in an Emergency Department setting, as well as, possess strong, organizational and problem solving skills, strong communication AND CONSENSUS BUILDING SKILLS AND HAVE A demonstrated record of promoting organizational change within a union environment.
s 0ROVEN ABILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY WITH MEDICAL STAFF IS REQUIRED AS IS AN IN DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF state and federal regulatory guidelines.
