for riders. The personal touches extended to matching individuals in rooms with other individual attendees, which was needed to fit everyone in. At first glance, I was concerned that some people might not like the arrangement, voluntary or not, but I quickly realized that this turned out to be one of the major benefits to the entire week- end: people meeting people that they didn't know but had so much in common with. I could go on with so many details of the
weekend, but one word dominated my mind when I rode home Sunday: People. We all come from different backgrounds, different places, different experiences; dif- ferences that normally keep us all apart. But like any great organization it's the people that make the MOA. It's John Myers driving up from Florida just to hang out. It's Adam Stewart being a Life Member. It's Nancy and Bill making us all feel like they just invited us into their home. It's the one member laughing Saturday night about his GPS tak- ing his K 1600 down what's best described as a creek bed. It’s members rooming together to ensure we'll all fit in. Now that I’ve checked Kentucky off my
MOA Getaway bucket list, I’m looking for- ward to more this year. I’ve never been to Tomah, Wisconsin, or Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Maybe that’s where I’ll head this year.
