TMA FOUNDATION’S 24TH GALA A Galactic Gala
3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF! TMA Foundation is pleased to announce, BLAST OFF!, the theme for the 24th annual gala, held during TexMed on May 5, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.
TMAF Board Member and TMA Past President Michael E. Speer, MD, will serve as lead Ambassador, accompanied by 20 other Houston physicians serving as BLAST OFF! Ambassadors for an evening amongst the stars at the new Marriot Marquis Hotel in Houston. The infinite galaxy will surround you along with 500 physicians, guests and friends of medicine for dinner, entertainment and live and silent auctions.
Gala proceeds support TMA’s health improvement, science and quality-of-care programs to create a Healthy Now and a Healthy Future for more Texans.

Texas A&M University System Health Science Center was honored recently with TMAF’s Red Ribbon award for supporting the foundation for 10 years. TMAF Board of Trustees member, Susan M. Pike, MD, presented the award to Jim Donovan, MD, Vice Dean, Round Rock Campus and Regional Chair of Family and Community Medicine at Texas A&M University College of Medicine.
Prudential was honored with the Corporate Leadership Circle Gold Ribbon award for 20 years of collaborating with TMA Foundation at the foundation’s annual board meeting in Dallas. TMAF President Deborah A. Fuller, MD, presented the award to TMAF Board Member, Robert Michelin, Vice President and Account Executive for Prudential’s Group Association & Affinity Services Department.
