operations with a cutting depth of up to 6.5 mm and a tooth feed of up to 0.5 mm. The Q56-KHF high-feed face-milling cutter achieves a high chip volume per unit of time and achieves optimum surface quality. The Q43-KSM shoulder milling cutter produces shoulders that are step-free and are exactly 90° as a result of its soft-cutting geometry. More than 70 new indexable inserts are available for the milling cutters. Four new kinds of high-performance cutting material ensure an even longer tool life when machining steel and cast iron materials, high-strength or high-temperature resistant steels and titanium and titanium alloys. Deeper Grooving, Cutoff System Beyond Evolution is a single-sided grooving and cutoff system for deeper grooving capability than double-ended systems. A proprietary “Triple V” design with top, bottom, and backside V-shaped seating in the holder pocket creates a pull-in effect for exceptionally high stability for deep groov- ing, face grooving, side turn- ing, and profi ling. As a result, Beyond Evolution will groove deeper, turn with 90% of the stability and all interchange- ability regardless of geometry or application. It offers tighter indexing tolerances, longer cutting depths, and a newly introduced plunge and turn
geometry. The one system for all applications design means 35% fewer items, reducing inventory and expense. Beyond Evolution is available through NOVO, Kennametal’s digital process knowledge application with process knowledge that is available on iPad and other digital devices. Kennametal Inc. state when not in use. RVK can be used in clean to slightly contaminated environments such as assembly or packaging areas, or wherever fast cycles are required. Integrated elec- tric feed-through allows all of the grippers to be continuously monitored leading to high process reliability. The RVK can be easily mounted to the ERS 135, 170, or the RST-D 087 from Schunk. It can also be adapted to mount on other rotary units, such as another rotary module or a robot arm, as long as there is a through-bore available. Standard adapter plates allow the use of various grippers as well as the ability to externally or internally grip workpieces. Schunk Inc.
